A ticket sits there until a human picks it up. When the ticket gets assigned, the assignee starts cold: no decisions from yesterday’s standup, no notes from the call last week, no context about why this work matters or where it fits with everything else.
When the work is done, someone has to remember to update the ticket. When something changes in Slack or in a meeting, someone has to remember to reflect it in Linear. The system is only as current as the discipline of the people using it, and that discipline is the first thing to slip when the team is busy.
